Jyotiraditya Scindia is against the welfare of farmers: MP CM

first_imgShivpuri (MP), Feb 5 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia was not interested in the welfare of farmers.”The local MP (Scindia) is against development. He doesnt want farmers to get relief in their (bank) accounts and, therefore, is making all out efforts to complain against the BJP with the Election Commission,” Chouhan alleged, while addressing an election meeting at Kolaras here.He was speaking after the BJPs candidate for the Kolaras bypoll, Devendra Jain, filed his nomination papers.Kolaras, as well as Mungaoli which will also have a bypoll, are part of Scindias Guna Lok Sabha constituency.”Scindia, who represents Guna Lok Sabha seat of which Kolaras is a part, doesnt want the development of people as he fears that once they progress, they would stop pleasing him,” Chouhan alleged. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, the sports minister in his cabinet, was also present.The MP CM also criticised the Congress for complaining against the recent expansion of his ministry in which Narayan Singh Kushwaha was inducted as a Cabinet Minister.Kushwaha was present at the election meeting today and Chouhan asked the crowd if he had committed a sin by making him (Kushwaha) a minister.Chouhan said that his government was constructing a dam and digging hand pump wells in the area for water but the Congress was complaining to the the Election Commission about it.Earlier, Chouhan, along with his cabinet colleagues including Narottam Mishra, Uma Shankar Gupta, Vishwas Sarang, Rustam Singh, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and state BJP president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, took out a rally.advertisementThe by-polls in Kolaras and Mungaoli assembly seats will be held on February 24 and the counting of votes would take place on February 28.Bypolls to the two Assembly seats were necessitated due to the death of sitting Congress MLAs Mahendra Singh Kalukheda (Mungaoli) and Ram Singh Yadav (Kolaras).
