Adamson, UST co-champs in UAAP girls’ basketball

first_imgMANILA – Following the cancellation ofthe rest of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP)Season 82’s high school events due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19)pandemic, Adamson University and University of Santo Tomas (UST) have beendeclared as co-champions in girls’ basketball. Players of the Baby Lady Falcons and the Junior Growling Tigresses in action before their championship series was suspended by the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. The Baby Lady Falcons and the JuniorGrowling Tigresses were supposed to clash for the winner-takes-all championshipgame after splitting the first two battles. The Ford Grajales-mentored UST, on theother hand, is composed of twins Erika and Nicole Dagangan, sisters Brigetteand Claudine Santos, Rachel Lacayanga, Mickaela Sison, Chille Serrano, JaneAraza, Gabrielle Rivera, Jazly Estudillo, Francesca Eroles, and Nicole Tubog.De La Salle-Zobel (3rd, 2-4) and Ateneo High School (4th, 0-6) also competed inthe league’s first staging.center_img The Junior Growling Tigresses drew firstblood, 73-68, before the Baby Lady Falcons forced a rubber match with a 79-74second game victory.Members of the Baby Lady Falcons are Crisnalyn Padilla, Joan Camagong, CharleneCarcallas, Kat Agojo, Mia Miguel, Abegail Amdad, Trina Roy, Nina Pohen, JaniceBrutas, Erica Reyes, Kristel Villarba, and Beatrice Bautista.
