Magnificent Arsenal dethroned Manchester City and is in the FA Cup…

first_imgThe Arsenal team defeated Manchester City with 2:0 in the semi-final clash of this year’s edition of the oldest football tournament – FA Cup. The star of the “balls” Pierre-Emerick Obameyang scored both goals, opening in the 19th minute, and then formed the final result in the 71st minute. Thus, the “gunners” qualified for the final of the tournament, where they will expect someone between Manchester United and Chelsea.✅ 2017✅ 2020😉 We just love Wembley semi-finals against Man City…🏆 #EmiratesFACup — Arsenal (@Arsenal) July 18, 2020Arsenal played a great match and deservedly qualified for the final. Londoners did not leave much space for “citizens” and limited them to a few clean positions.Another positive thing tonight for the “gunners” after this victory is that they secured participation in the Europa League next season and will not worry about where they will end up in the championship.Gulliver/GettyImagesThe “Citizens” started the match more actively and pressed the opponent, but there were no clear positions. In the tenth minute Shkodran Mustafi made a serious mistake, but City failed to take advantage. The defender lost the ball in the penalty area, but Rahim Stirling failed to shoot. The attack ended with a header by Riyad Marez, but the ball was killed by Granit Jaka just before the goal. The cleanest in the situation in the beginning came in the 16th minute and was at the expense of Arsenal. Then Pierre-Emerick Obameyang missed a great opportunity. City players cleared the ball to the center, where David Lewis took it down with his chest, controlled it and with a great pass led Obameyang behind the defense of the “sky blue”. The striker made good progress and came face to face with Ederson, then fired, but straight at the Brazilian guard.Three minutes later, however, Obamayang retaliated and put Arsenal ahead in the result. Nicolas Pepe centered to the far post, and the Gabonese caught the ball from the air, sending it diagonally and it flew into the net – 1: 0.In the 29th minute Hector Beyerin made a mistake and made a gift to the “sky-blues” after sending the ball to the feet of Gabriel Jesus in the penalty area. The Brazilian returned to Kevin De Bruyne, who shot, but Jaca threw himself and blocked the shot.A minute later, in front of the other door, Ederson could be fatally mistaken. The Brazilian guard tried to find De Bruyne, but the ball ended up in Alexander Lacasette. The Frenchman handed me Obamayang, but inaccurately. In the 41st minute Danny Sebayos centered in the penalty area from a corner, where Mustafi shot with his head, but Ederson managed to kill the ball, which was directed just below his crossbar. We’re halfway through at Wembley – and we lead! 💪🔴 1-0 🔵 (HT)🏆 #EmiratesFACup — Arsenal (@Arsenal) July 18, 2020Manchester City came out to equalize in the second half and started the second 45 minutes at high speed.Rahim Stirling twice had the opportunity to shoot from good positions. In the first situation, the English national sent the ball far above the door, and the second a little closer, but again out.In the 54th minute Riyad Marez entered the penalty area and shot, but did not hinder Martinez. After an hour of play, De Bruyne shot from a direct free kick, but the ball flew a little away from Arsenal’s goal.In the 67th minute David Silva shot dangerously from the penalty area, but also inaccurate.City’s pressure increased, but instead of the “citizens” equalizing, Arsenal doubled in the 71st minute. Pepe holds the ball well near the side line in the opponent’s field. He returned to Tierney, and the defender brought Obameyang in a great way behind the defense. The Gabonese advanced at speed, entered the penalty area, shot and sent the ball between Ederson’s legs – 2: 0.Seven minutes before the end of regular time, Aymeric Laport could have made a great shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the ball flew inches past the left crossbar of Martinez.By the end of the match, the Arsenal players made no mistakes and successfully finished the match, beating both Manchester City and Liverpool in just a few days.“The apprentice has beaten the sorcerer!”Arsenal have booked their spot in the #EmiratesFACup final! 🙌Hugs all around! pic.twitter.com/lguaZK2jfU — Football on BT Sport (@btsportfootball) July 18, 2020ARSENAL – MANCHESTER CITY 2: 01:0 Pierre-Emerick Obameyang (k) 19 ‘2:0 Pierre-Emerick Obameyang (k) 71 ‘Starting lineups of both teams: 📋 Here it is – our semi-final team news!🇬🇦 @Aubameyang7 starts🇫🇷 @LacazetteAlex starts🇨🇮 And so does Nicolas Pepe😉#️⃣ #EmiratesFACup — Arsenal (@Arsenal) July 18, 2020ARSENAL (3-4-3): 26.
