Share this:Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading… RelatedRute Ekstrim Kereta Bergerigi di Swiss, Kemiringannya Hingga 48 Persen03/08/2020In “Darat”‘Macet’ Jadi Alasan Mengapa Kereta di Rusia Jadi yang Terlamban di Dunia16/09/2020In “Analisa Angkutan”Lalui Jalur dengan Beda Lebar Rel, Russian Railway Punya Kereta dengan “Variable Gauge System”14/11/2019In “Darat”
Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze has two games left with three NFL first round picks and 10 senior starters on its roster.Expectations can just crush a man. Just ask Les Miles. Ask Hugh Freeze, too.I don’t have to, because I already know. I expected more of myself in my picks this season, and I’ve come up short. I had a grand plan to get ahead last week, and it was all going so well. Georgia beat Auburn, Southern Miss rolled Rice and Alabama controlled Mississippi State. But Tennessee, why could you not come close to covering against North Texas (a team USM beat by 35 points, by the way)? And c’mon BYU — a loss to Missouri? I worried the Tigers spent game week preoccupied; completely forgot the Mormons could be distracted by the “Sister Wives” drama. So I get it, Les. You had your team 7-0 this season, and No. 2 in the College Football Playoff’s first top 25. Leonard Fournette was going to be a landslide Heisman Trophy winner on the way to leading the Tigers to the SEC championship and a national title chance. And then you lost to Alabama, and followed that up with a home loss to Arkansas. Ouch. Now the championship dreams are crushed, and people are talking about whether or not you can survive this. You’re the gift that keeps on giving to sports writers, Les, but the folks in Cajun country seem to just be tiring of not being as good as Alabama.Freeze also had SEC West and national championship dreams. He even beat Alabama, in Tuscaloosa, no less. But losses to Florida, Memphis and Arkansas have Ole Miss at 7-3. The only way Ole Miss wins the West is if Auburn beats Alabama, and, sorry, that’s just not happening. Ole Miss could win out. Ole Miss could lose every other game it plays. Either way it’s going to be disappointing, considering this is a team with three sure-fire NFL first-round picks and about 10 senior starters. There’s two weeks left in the season. Two weeks for Ole Miss and LSU to salvage things with a couple of wins, and two more weeks for me to find some winners. Let’s get to it.Last week: 4-1 straight-up, 3-2 against the spreadThis season: 45-17 straight-up, 25-33 against the spread. The Big GameNo. 15 LSU at No. 22 Ole Miss (-6), 2:30 p.m. Saturday (CBS): Miles seems content to do what he does and let the chips fall where they may, which means the Rebels are going to see a heavy dose of the run this Saturday. If it’s me, I’m getting as big as possible (including Breeland Speaks and Robert Nkemdiche playing together on the defensive line) and keep seven in the box at all times. That gives Ole Miss its best shot at limiting Fournette, and winning the game. My pick: Ole Miss 28, LSU 24. In the StateMississippi State at Arkansas (-4), 6 p.m. Saturday (ESPN): A week after Alabama and a week before Ole Miss. A road game at an opponent that traditionally has one of the better home-field advantages in the SEC and is the hottest team in the conference not named Alabama. It all lines up against Mississippi State. My pick: Arkansas 28, Mississippi State 17.Old Dominion at Southern Miss (-21), 2:30 p.m. Saturday (ASN): Give me Southern Miss, and give me the points. My pick: Southern Miss 42, Old Dominion 14. Around the NationGeorgia Southern at Georgia (-13.5), 6 p.m. Saturday (ESPNU): This is a sneaky tough game for Georgia, and I would not be shocked at all to see the upset happen. I mean, Nick Saban just told us all about Georgia Southern’s offense and a tin horn. My pick: Georgia 28, Georgia Southern 24.No. 9 Michigan State at No. 3 Ohio State (-13.5), 2:30 p.m. Saturday (ABC): Michigan State has been really average for most of this season. Ohio State has figured itself out. That’s a lot of points, but I’m good with them. My pick: Ohio State 35, Michigan State 21.No. 10 Baylor at No. 6 Oklahoma State (-1), 6:30 p.m. Saturday (FOX): Oklahoma State’s entire resume is it beat TCU. Baylor’s entire resume is it beat … a 6-5 Texas Tech team? I’m not convinced on either, but let’s roll with the Bears. My pick: Baylor 24, Oklahoma State 21.Contact Hugh Kellenberger at (601) 961-7291 or [email protected] [email protected] on Twitter.<!–iframe–>
The Arsenal team defeated Manchester City with 2:0 in the semi-final clash of this year’s edition of the oldest football tournament – FA Cup. The star of the “balls” Pierre-Emerick Obameyang scored both goals, opening in the 19th minute, and then formed the final result in the 71st minute. Thus, the “gunners” qualified for the final of the tournament, where they will expect someone between Manchester United and Chelsea.✅ 2017✅ 2020😉 We just love Wembley semi-finals against Man City…🏆 #EmiratesFACup — Arsenal (@Arsenal) July 18, 2020Arsenal played a great match and deservedly qualified for the final. Londoners did not leave much space for “citizens” and limited them to a few clean positions.Another positive thing tonight for the “gunners” after this victory is that they secured participation in the Europa League next season and will not worry about where they will end up in the championship.Gulliver/GettyImagesThe “Citizens” started the match more actively and pressed the opponent, but there were no clear positions. In the tenth minute Shkodran Mustafi made a serious mistake, but City failed to take advantage. The defender lost the ball in the penalty area, but Rahim Stirling failed to shoot. The attack ended with a header by Riyad Marez, but the ball was killed by Granit Jaka just before the goal. The cleanest in the situation in the beginning came in the 16th minute and was at the expense of Arsenal. Then Pierre-Emerick Obameyang missed a great opportunity. City players cleared the ball to the center, where David Lewis took it down with his chest, controlled it and with a great pass led Obameyang behind the defense of the “sky blue”. The striker made good progress and came face to face with Ederson, then fired, but straight at the Brazilian guard.Three minutes later, however, Obamayang retaliated and put Arsenal ahead in the result. Nicolas Pepe centered to the far post, and the Gabonese caught the ball from the air, sending it diagonally and it flew into the net – 1: 0.In the 29th minute Hector Beyerin made a mistake and made a gift to the “sky-blues” after sending the ball to the feet of Gabriel Jesus in the penalty area. The Brazilian returned to Kevin De Bruyne, who shot, but Jaca threw himself and blocked the shot.A minute later, in front of the other door, Ederson could be fatally mistaken. The Brazilian guard tried to find De Bruyne, but the ball ended up in Alexander Lacasette. The Frenchman handed me Obamayang, but inaccurately. In the 41st minute Danny Sebayos centered in the penalty area from a corner, where Mustafi shot with his head, but Ederson managed to kill the ball, which was directed just below his crossbar. We’re halfway through at Wembley – and we lead! 💪🔴 1-0 🔵 (HT)🏆 #EmiratesFACup — Arsenal (@Arsenal) July 18, 2020Manchester City came out to equalize in the second half and started the second 45 minutes at high speed.Rahim Stirling twice had the opportunity to shoot from good positions. In the first situation, the English national sent the ball far above the door, and the second a little closer, but again out.In the 54th minute Riyad Marez entered the penalty area and shot, but did not hinder Martinez. After an hour of play, De Bruyne shot from a direct free kick, but the ball flew a little away from Arsenal’s goal.In the 67th minute David Silva shot dangerously from the penalty area, but also inaccurate.City’s pressure increased, but instead of the “citizens” equalizing, Arsenal doubled in the 71st minute. Pepe holds the ball well near the side line in the opponent’s field. He returned to Tierney, and the defender brought Obameyang in a great way behind the defense. The Gabonese advanced at speed, entered the penalty area, shot and sent the ball between Ederson’s legs – 2: 0.Seven minutes before the end of regular time, Aymeric Laport could have made a great shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the ball flew inches past the left crossbar of Martinez.By the end of the match, the Arsenal players made no mistakes and successfully finished the match, beating both Manchester City and Liverpool in just a few days.“The apprentice has beaten the sorcerer!”Arsenal have booked their spot in the #EmiratesFACup final! 🙌Hugs all around! pic.twitter.com/lguaZK2jfU — Football on BT Sport (@btsportfootball) July 18, 2020ARSENAL – MANCHESTER CITY 2: 01:0 Pierre-Emerick Obameyang (k) 19 ‘2:0 Pierre-Emerick Obameyang (k) 71 ‘Starting lineups of both teams: 📋 Here it is – our semi-final team news!🇬🇦 @Aubameyang7 starts🇫🇷 @LacazetteAlex starts🇨🇮 And so does Nicolas Pepe😉#️⃣ #EmiratesFACup — Arsenal (@Arsenal) July 18, 2020ARSENAL (3-4-3): 26. Manchester City, England’s most titled team in recent years – four golds and three runners-up in the last nine seasons – has not yet reached the coveted Champions League title. Pepa Guardiola’s team was closest in 2016, when in the semi-final with 0: 1 in the sum of two games he lost to the next champion of Real Madrid. It faced it this season as well, with the teams meeting in the eighth final. “City” was superior in both fights with 2: 1. In the group tournament, the team won four victories and made a draw twice. If “City” can be called natural in the semi-finals, then “Lyon” entry into the top eight teams is a surprise. Before the eighth final matches against Turin “Juventus”, only a few allowed to predict the victory of “Lyon”, but the 1: 0 victory in their field was very valuable. Although the guests were lost by 1: 2, the away goal allowed them to move on. The loss was fatal for Juventus head coach Maurīcio Sarri – he was fired the next day.In the second match, the pendulum was realized by Memphis Depay, whose first duel against “Juventus” took place. The striker broke his knee cross ties in December and it was planned that the season was over for him, but a break in Covid-19 gave Depay a chance to return and help the team. Lyon is also a semi-final experience of the Champions League, but it was gained ten years ago, when Munich “Bayern” lost 0: 4. The winner of this quarterfinals will fight directly against Bayern next Wednesday.Manchester City will have to do without injured striker Serhio Agvero. On June 22, the Argentine knee suffered in the first half with a 5: 0 win against Burnley, and Agvero has stopped playing as the season continues. In Lyon, several footballers are under question. Including the promising midfielder Husem Avars, who suffered in team training yesterday but was able to get up and leave the pitch.“I think the victory over Juventus will give us extra confidence. Appetite grows when we eat. It is clear that City is the pair’s favorite, but the quarterfinals so far have shown that favorites do not always win,” said Rudi Garcia, Lyon’s head coach. Gvardiola, meanwhile, gave words of praise to his opponents: “Incredibly well-organized team, without free zones, aggressive and fast attackers, high-quality outfielders, masterful standard setters. It is top team. “Champions League 1/4 finalsDateThe gameThe resultAugust 12Atalanta (Italy) – PSG (France)1:2 (1:0)August 13RB Leipzig (Germany) – Atletico (Spain)2:1 (0:0)August 14Barcelona (Spain) – Bayern (Germany)2:8 (1:4)August 15Man City (England) – Lyon (France)Champions League 1/2 final calendarDateThe gameAugust 18RB Leipzig – PSGAugust 19City/Lyon – Bayern
